Your Favorite Movie(s)

I know that there a heck of a lot of movies out there which is why I decided against a poll to ask you about just ten movies... I was curious what everyone's favorite movie(s) are. I certainly have my share of favorite movies and will wait to post them until a couple of you have shared what you enjoy. List as many as you want and describe why you like them so much.

In not special order:

Dune,LOTR,SW (all of them),Braveheart,Raiders of the lost Ark, WC ;) ,El Milagro de P.Tinto,Top Gun,The Hunt for the Red October, surely i´m missing one.

I have many movies that I love. Cast Away, Back to the Future, The Abyss, Star Wars (all), Indiana Jones and the lost Ark, Star Trek 2 and 6, Shawshank Redemption, Judge Dredd, Vanilla Sky, The Saint, Screamers, Tao of Steve, The Mexican. I love movies... I am sure the list isn't barely scratched.

Where's LeHah at? :)

Memento
Seventh Seal
Way of the Gun
Tigerland
Titus
Fight Club
Metropolis
Requiem for a Dream
Swimming with Sharks

I could go on and on...

Don't ask, I'm sure LeHah could rant on for pages about the good, the bad, and the ugly of endless numbers of movies. :)

I don't watch that many movies myself, but again, the list could go on for a while, so I'll just be boring and say Star Wars.

Analyze This, Transformers: The Movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Usual Suspects, Back to the Future, TMNT...probably others I can't recall.

Mine is: Getting Even With Dad, starring Macaulay Culkin and Ted Danson.

Assuming that the series premiere of seaQuest doesn't count as a movie, my top ten movies of all time are...

#1 - Wing Commander: Well, duh. What did you expect? The Wing Commander movie is like your robot pal who went insane and killed a bunch of people. Sure, it was wrong... but you have a freaking robot for a pal! And despite all the horrible, horrible, horrible story problems it had, Wing Commander had a really amazing visual feel to it. Watch it on mute!

#2 - Contact: Contact is an odd movie because you can always watch it, no matter how you feel. It's a pretty good movie, too... even though I initially saw it with DKS *shudder*. If I'm ever arrested for strangling someone there's a good chance that they were repeating the stupid Southpark joke about it.

#3 - Chloe in the Afternoon: Definately the best Eric Rohmer movie.

#4 - Pokemon 3: Pokemon 3 is so much better than the other two Pokemon movies. It's got freaking Mantine in it! And it says "Man-tine" in the coolest voice ever. Radical! The whole plot about the little girl replacing her dead parents with weird space-time letter-animals is pretty neat too. Pokemon is so cool. It's bright... makes you want to live a long life!

#5 - Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Yay, Star Trek! Included to symbolize that Star Trek in general rules. Star Trek II, III and IV are probably better movies... but The Motion Picture is the only one that's even remotely like the TV show.

#6 - Big: Because my list had to have a Tom Hanks movie on it.

#7 - The Longest Day: Because my list had to have a war movie on it... and nobody ever appreciates The Longest Day anymore. Stupid Private Ryan.

#8 - Good Will Hunting: Well, we all have to subscribe to the LeHah school of mid-90s obvious a little bit, right?

#9 - Beavers: The IMAX movie, not porn. They... build dams and stuff! On a huge screen!

#10 - Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century: You know how you can wake up at 2 AM and be absolutely amazed at whatever you find on TV? That's what happened here. It's now scarily one of only three or four VHSses I keep in an otherwise DVD collection (two Pokemon Christmas specials, a video about Coelacanths and this).

Hmm..."Saving Private Ryan", "Star Wars" (all of them, they all count as one), "Wayne's World", "Air Force One", "Braveheart", the Star Trek movies (especially 4! 4 RULES!)..a bunch of others...and their in no particular order.

In no particular order... the Monty Python movies, Trainspotting, The Thin Red Line, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, the Star Wars movies, and I'm probably forgetting something...

Indy Films

Independent Films are awesome. I don't think that I will ever be able to get by without some sort of access to the IFC channel.
