That reminds me... are the WC2 and WC3 bloodfangs the same ships? I know that they look different, but do they have different stats?

Well if you take a look at the WC 1 and WC2 designs, I always sort of thought that as new technology came out, Thrakath had his fighter modified and remodified to be up-to-date with the newer model.

Perhaps the power distribution is the same? Like the tachyon guns drain a little less then the particle guns and the Plasmas drain a little more.

My assumption would be that the version seen in Wing Commander III is simply a development of the one seen in Wing Commander II (and the WC2 demo.)

We don't, though the ship was originally created for WC1 (or SM2, rather) -- that variant appears in the WC2 Demo... (and you can overwrite a ship in WC1 with it, if you want to see it fly around.)

I hope so. It was really neat seeing the old Bloodfang flying with Dralthi escorts in a WC2 setting.

Yeah, the demos are officially released products. Prophecy's demo has a whole series of extra missions that takes place within the regular Prophecy story.

Note that almost every demo (the exception is Privateer 2) features an original mission -- so check out the Wing Commander III, IV and Prophecy Test demos too! These three actually may be a little more interesting than the longer Prophecy Demo... since they all feature the not-quite-finished versions of their respective games.
