First, just want to say that everyones tips for WC3 Kilrathi saga worked great.

Now i am running into a problem with wing commander prophecy, that nobody seems to be running into.

My older system is.
Win XP SP2
P3 1Ghz
256MB Ram
Nvidia Riva TNT 2 Model 64 Pro GPU

so what i did was download the glide wrapper and ran the configurator and set even set the memory to 2MB, also tried 4MB.... and 16MB.
tried putting the exe in different compatibility modes as well, from win 95 - win 2k, with all the extra options on and off.
in the launcher i set the game to glide.

even with all these different configurations, i still get this error

We are sorry, prophecy.exe has encountered an error and needs to close... blah blah blah...

the information of the error says

Error Signature :
AppName: prophecy.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: gl_00002.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000010df

there is a bunch of technical info too i cannot copy and paste, but here is some info from a file included in the error report

If anybody at all can let me know if they have experienced this or know how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

BTW, Prophecy runs fine in direct 3d.... no movie hiccups or anything. it runs flawlessly.

Your video card can't do this. The one you have there is 2-3 times as powerful as an original Voodoo card. New cards today are about 50-75 times as powerful as the one you have right now. When you're emulating something, it always requires substantially more resources than the original setup would have been. Privateer ran great on 66 MHz computers in 1993. To emulate it in DOSBox today, you need a good 1-1.5 GHz or so. To run a 3dfx glide wrapper, you should probably have a video card made within the last few years.
