Wing Commander Movie Now (Permanently?) $9.99 on Vudu

Jacob

Rear Admiral
Hi all,

Vudu has announced that a bunch of titles are now $9.99 for HDX (Blu-ray quality) on their site, including the Wing Commander movie. An ad on their front page (which you won't see if you're automatically logged into Vudu) stays that the pricing is "permanent", so maybe it is? Anyway, if for some unknown reason you don't want it in HDX, it is the same price for SD and HD quality.

Nice find! It looks like this discount was applied across the board. It's $10 now at Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, etc.

Just to update this - the Wing Commander movie is on sale this month on Vudu for $6.99 in HDX.

Don't know if this matters to anyone, but Vudu has gotten rid of the HD (780?p) format, as barely anyone used/bought it, and they've now introduced UHD (4K). So you can still get the movie in SD (480p) and HDX (1080p). If you own it in HD for whatever reason, it's going to get upgraded to HDX for free some time this week.

Vudu's monthly $6.99 HDX sale won't start until Tuesday (2/7/17), but Wing Commander is slated to go on sale again. Should be at this price until March 7, 2017, as Vudu changes their $6.99 HDX monthly sales on the first Tuesday of every month. I'll update this thread to confirm, provided anyone cares.

New titles for the monthly $6.99 sale were posted today; Wing Commander is indeed among them. It will be available for $6.99 in HDX quality on Vudu until March 7, 2017.

If you haven't bought it already, you've got 4-6 hours to pick it up before it goes back to $9.99!
