Scene 319 is a CGI sequence that did not make it into the game, showing the Vesuvius rapidly leaving Axius station.

These storyboard images were recovered from a backup CD containing materials belonging to Origin's web development team. They were dated November 17, 1995 and were likely planned for a never-completed web feature.

These were done for use on the web circa 1995/6ish... This is probably as big as they come until someone scans all the original storyboards again.
 
Yeah, thinking back to 1996, each one of these 320x thumbnails would take up a full quarter of your screen. They were the larger images that the thumbnails linked to. :)

It's easy to forget what 'standard' resolutions were like in the 90s. Chris' assertion that a 320-wide image would be a quarter of a 640-wide screen is what I would guess too.
