Wing Commander Invasion problem

I installed the WC Invasion mod for ST Armada, but noticed that somehow the icons for my computer files had been disrupted. I uninstalled, but the icons are still not what they originally were (example: the icon for Recyle Bin is not what it should be, and any new programs installed since do not create the appropriate icons associated with the programs). I even went so far as to have the computer reset itself to a restore point before I even installed the mod, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have any help in this regard; I'm beginning to be a bit frustrated.

That's pretty weird. I'm not sure why it would affect something like that. So what icon shows for the recycle bin? Have you tried going into Display Properties and resetting items in the Themes and Appearance tab?
