Wing Commander Arena - Unlock Ship

Hi there,

For the achievement "Gunfighter" it requires that you have all of the ships unlocked.

I have found on the internet that to unlock the "Terran - F-44 Rapier II Cavalier" you must unlock the "Navigator" achievement. I have unlocked this achievement but still do not have the Cavalier available...

I have been told that I may have completed the Navigator achievement in the wrong ship..?

I have met the requirements again for the navigator achievement but in the correct ship and it has still not unlocked the Cavalier...

I have played most modes quite a lot since unlocking the Navigator achievement as this sometimes forces certain glitched ships to become available, but this didn't work either.

I have also just unlocked the "Hot Dog" achv in the Terran F-44 Rapier II" in the hope that this may unlock it, but still no luck...

Please can anyone help or suggest what I must do now to allow me to use the "Terran - F-44 Rapier II Cavalier"..?

Thanks a lot,

Yeah, the Cavalier is a tough one. Clearly, all the guides that say to simply get the Navigator achievement are missing something.

Fly through all of the game's jump points. These are located in three levels and can be unlocked in either the single or multiplayer versions where available. You must enter each jump point once, not simply exit it. In total there are seven, broken down as follows: Proving Grounds (2), Space Station/Melee (3) and Boneyard (2). The jump points will appear clearly marked on your radar. The hardest to reach are: one in Space Station which is at the end of a latticework corridor and one in Boneyard which is hidden in the asteroid's trenches. The Bearpit's jump points do not count. Also note that finishing this achievement in a Confederation ship unlocks the Rapier II Cavalier.

What ship did you do it in? ("the correct ship"?) After getting the achievement once, it can be hard to tell if you're hitting all seven of the gold jump gates with a Confed craft. Are you going through all 7? And making sure you go into and out of each of them?

ChrisReid, first of all thanks a lot for replying.

After getting the Navigator achievement in a Kilrathi ship the "Dralthi IX Striker" (i think). I then went back in the Terran "F-44 Rapier II Blade" and I believe I even tried other F-44 ships. I am certain I went through all warp gates, and back through the opposite way also...

Again, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
