Wing Commander Academy Timeline

Rear Admiral
I just binge watched the series the other day using the "Timeline Order" for viewing and I was wondering how the episode order was determined. Placing "Expendable" before "Chain of Command" makes sense. But it seems that Archer's story arc (freezing up in combat) is resolved in "Walking Wounded". She still has the problem in "Recreation" and "On Both Your Houses" so I would think "Walking Wounded" should follow these episodes.

Another question: does anyone know what Bhok says as he is tearing up his (ceremonial?) clothes in "Price of Victory"? I hear "I have given my life to Sivar. [something][something] exist." I guess he could be saying "He doesn't exist." but I don't think quite fits. Just curious.

I hope you enjoyed the show!

I believe you're correct about the line ("he does not exist") but I will dig out the storyboards for the episode when I'm back home on Monday.

The 'arc' for those episodes is the convoy the Tiger's Claw is escorting... they're supposed to rescue it in Walking Wounded carry it through Invisible Enemy and deliver the survivors to a destroyer squadron in Recreation. (Archer's issue would make a good alternative order but I don't think that was ever intended... they just kept deciding to bring it back.)

This wasn't actually the first time that I've seen it. It's been a while though and this was probably the first time I saw them all in nearly one sitting and noticed the continuing plot threads more. And it was a great show. Were the Edens' familiar with the franchise beforehand? A lot of the small details seemed to go above and beyond the level of familiarity of being given a Bible and told "Make a show."

Thank you for checking!

I guess that makes sense. It just seemed like the episode concluded the arc when she is finally confronted about it and grounded because of it, and then finally works through it. It had all the indications of the writers putting the arc to rest. But then the original broadcast order has "On Both Your Houses" after "Walking Wounded" as well.
