Wing Commader and filmschools?

I heard a rumor that Wing Commanders way of beeing an interactive movie is somewhere tought at US filmschools.
Does anyone knows more about this...maybe if there is a book about that topic or does someone knows the school itself?

There's really no difference between filming a movie and an interactive videogame like WC3. You basicly write all the scenes with their possible choises, film it all and then create a pretty straight forward video system so when one movie ends, it pops up with a choice to branch betwee X number of responses.

Terry Borst, who co-wrote WC3's movie script, teaches at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico... but I don't know that he teaches anything but ordinary screenwriting.

(I'm sure there were "interactive movie" courses in the mid nineties when the format was supposed to be the future of entertainment... the industry as a whole has moved on, though.)

My brother talked to Borst when he was in Santa Fe a few months back. He hasn't done anything with WC in eight years, though (G)

Oh to bad...just hoped that there where some learning/teaching-books or something like that...but seams that I just got the rumors wrong.

Beside that...wasn't there a making of from WC3+4? Is it downloadable somewhere?

A german gaming magazine posted a Making Of WC4 video on a disc back when WC4 was still in production. Problem is, all the information is in german, including overdubbed interviews.

The BradyGames strategy guide for WC3 came with a Behind The Screens CD-ROM that featured a making of video and several interviews along with the complete WC3 script.

"Behind the Screens" also came with WC3Premiere in two formats... CD-ROM and as a VHS casette.

We've got a copy ripped from the CD in our files section (wcnews.com/files.shtml)... and one I'm done WCA I'll see about getting a higher quality VHS version.

"I see!" said the blind man, to his deaf dog, as he picked up his hammer and saw. :o
