Win XP Standoff problems

Since I've changed to XP, a lot of my favorite games don't seem to work right. Standoff happens to be one of them.

When I run Standoff, it appears fine, but then it starts to get all glitchy during the rec room screen, when I move the cursor, it quickly goes black then back to normal. During flight, the 3D looks well but is jerky. Care to enlighten me if there's a way to fix the problem?

Did you try to install the latest graphic drivers? Did you try to use normal, non animated, mouse cursors in WinXP?

Got the latest drivers for my old and venerable GeForce3, so I guess something needs to be done about the animated cursor. DOn't remember if I turned them off.
