Why do my missions keep failing?

I'm having lots of mission trouble actually. Lots of them fail and dump the cargo when I take off (as far as I know, I'm not ejecting it), and I rarely get the amount of money it says I'm supposed to when I do manage to finish a mission. Any help?
 
If it's Privateer, you're probably flying with Invulnerable or Unlimited Ammo on. Turn that off, and then try again.
