Where is Freespace2 Wing commander.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how the wc conversion to freespace2 is going since there hasn't been much news yet the last bit I saw was very optimistic.
 
Completed Wing Commander mods are like cheesecake -- not as good as regular cake, and nobody knows how to actually make them.
 
Last i heard of them was that they had a pack containing a few converted to them and they were going to relesase another version of the mod. I was wondering becasue it might be the closest we have to on line wing commander that works.
 
I have played X-Wing Alliance, and can honestly say that it did not affect my opinion of cheesecake.
