I just took this Screen Shot about 5-10 minutes ago while playing SO, at the cutscene where the bugs attack a Visuvius carrier. For some reason i end up commanding turrets(??) then i push F1 and i got a devestator. weird huh? heres what i got, nice shot if you ask me :D

just a word to the wise but don't do that with geocities, they tend to delete your site, they don't like hyperlinking to pics.

Yup... and the link does not seem to work... :(

I recall Kris said, that with Geocities we first have to go on your member page, then click on the pic...

Well it works, but now what? It's not a pic of the Vesuvius...

Wait, is that the pic you wanted to show us?

uh.. yes.. and its A visuvius (not THE visuvius) If i remember someone said it was the St. Helens? Its just weird that im in a fighter when its supposed to be a cutscene

Oh ok... Vesuvius-class... :)

And it's Vesuvius RATM, though I think you're right, it's the St. Helens... ;)

I still don't understand why she's named the Mount St. Helens, while the US Navy can name ships St. Louis and St. Lo. :)

I think it was straight St. Helens in The Price of Freedom, was it not?
The "Mount" wasn't even mentioned...

I agree with you, mpanty, i always thought it was just St. Helens.... i mean they dont call the Vesuvius "Mount Vesuvius".

I believe that the official designation was the TCS Mount St. Helens, but when referred to in ordinary speech, it was shortened to the St. Helens. Much the same way the modern day Ticonderoga is referred to as the Tico.

Yes, that's correct -- actually, calling the MSH "St. Helens" in WCIV raised the ire of quite a few people with naval experience back at the old Origin board... luckily, Ohlander gave it its full name in the novel.
