Web Stats Tracking?

Hey, I just noticed the stats tracking icon on the left side of the main page and checked it out. It's a pretty neat thing! Over 3 million unique visitors since they started tracking!!!!? Awesome! Anyway, just had a quick question for the admin team, is extreme tracking free? How do you get it? What's your overall impressions of the tracking? Just curious, thanks!

The Extreme tracker was put up some time after the Nedstat one. Both were free. They're good for tracking frontpage hits over a long period of time. If you're interested in referal logs and total page hits then analyzing the server logs with something like Awstats or Webalizer is the best way. Extreme's geo and system tracking (browser, screen resolution) become meaningless over time, since they're now the sum of seven years of data collection. The number of Explorer 5 users today would be nowhere near the reported 22%.
