Notice that Ep II Geonisis clones have apparently no issue with madness. Besides, comparing SW Universe data to WC data is comparing apples to oranges. Different situation, different creations, no points of congruity between them.

In short, until the third film is finished and complete, anything and everything in the novels is suspect, especially when it comes to the clones. Everything we know about the clones was turned on its head in the last movie, and I don't think it would be a good idea to bring them up until after the third movie is released.
