I recently got a copy of wc4 DVD 2 disc version and I have installed the patches and the game runs great except for in game flight sequences. the colors seem off and its hard to see the mission objectives text. planets and stars seem to have weird coloring. does anyone know what the best settings are for making this game run properly. Btw I have windows 7.

Is this the 64bit version of Win7? IIRC the only known fix for the color issue at this time is to close all instances of explorer while running the game and restarting them after finishing.
Also, if it's on two disks you got a pirated version. The real deal is double sided... or is that what you meant?
