WC3 with USB Joystick

Hi

I had an old PC with WC3. So my question, can i play WC3 or WC4 with an USB Joystick?? So when yes, you can explane how ?

IIRC my USB-Joystick worked with DosBox. But you will need a fast PC to play WC3 and WC4 in DosBox, they require high settings (and don't run stable yet.)
Without DosBox..... I don't know, sorry!

A USB stick will work fine with Dosbox. Follow the guides here: https://www.wcnews.com/techsupport.shtml to get the games set up in dosbox. Depending on the speed of your machine, it may be better to use the Win95 patch for WC4 and a USB stick should work fine in that one as well. Just don't forget to set compatability mode.

It entirely depends on your setting.
WC3 DOS in pure DOS? Nope won't work.
WC3 DOS in Windows? Won't work.
WC3 DOS in Windows with VDMSound? Should work IIRC.
Dosbox works, but is very slow.
WC3 Kilrathi Saga in Windows? Works.

WC4 is the same as WC3 in this regard, but you can patch the DOS version to the Windows version.

so i have an old pc with an pentiium III and a vodoo 3dfx. So i will install windows 98 . My joystick runs great under windows 98, but my question runs also under WC3 . Can i have a patch so that i can play with my USB joystick ?
