WC2 loading prob

Getting message Origin FX driver missing on loading WC2 deluxe. Have been trying to get this game working for ages and if any one has any info on altering config or autobat please explain in full as most of my early attempts and later ones have been very unsuceessful. Am running it on Win 98 , cd.

Copy the contents of the WC2 CD to your hard drive, remove the "Read-Only" attribute and try WC2.EXE

If that doesn't work, try posting your start-up files.
