There weren't any in the games, but we know that some were still being used in those years. Many of the WC1 and 2 ships were used by the BW during WC4 for example.
 
:p I believe that the Banshee is VERY efective at destroying even new Confed ships, that should be the BW heavy fighter...

Anywayz, were any Hornets, Scimitars, Rapiers, or Raptors present during WCIII or IV time?
 
god i can imagine it now. a wing of 2 hornets attacking a Vaktoth. bye bye hornets... Werent those things like 20 years old then? They wold be ripped apart in battle...
 
It's not like they were used by Confed, at least not most of them... Hornets, Scims and the others you mentioned were being used by the BW and Landreich navy.
 
Even worse.. arent the border worlds right next to the Kilrathi, all theyd have to do is esnd a cruiesr in, and their whole fleet of Exeter class and hornets, etc would be ripped apart... why didnt they just use Banshees... those things kick ass
 
because antman its not like they have little farries making the things. it is alot cheaper to buy surplus confed ships and upgradethem to have modern shields/guns then to build all new ships
 
Antman, of course they would be upgrading those old ships... There's even a mention of a Ferret fitted with an old corvette engine.:) And it's not like the Border Worlds were of any particular interest to the Kilrathi, so they never sent any huge forcess at them. Plus the suicidal tactics of those BW militias could alway push away anything that was thrown at them.
 
You're confusing the Border Worlds and the Landreich. The Landreich had suicidal tactics, and were never of particular interest to the Kilrathi.

During the war, the Border Worlds were part of the Confederation -- and were where much of the war was fought.
 
Fleet Action, like Kruger attempting to get a group of escort carriers through a jump point at full speed... risking loosing all of them.:)

Well, they seem to have PLENTY of Banshees, Vindicator, and Avengers in WCIV. Were those upgraded Confed ships?

Also, if the Kilrathi were to send ANY ships to Confed, they would have to go through the Border Worlds first. And about you saying "You think they have fairies making the things?". Well sure I do! What about Pliers? Ain't he an Elf/Fairy/Troll? Personally, I think one Banshee could take out the whole Kilrathi fleet... IF it were flown by me. :0 :) :( :p :| :|~
 
And what is "The BARON" anyway? What's his rank.

Oh, and I am releasing a new picture tomorrow. It's a cloaked Kilrathi fighter attack on a Hellcat wing. Anyone know how to make that wierd blue lighting effect that goes all over a disabled fighter in the movies? (Cutscenes)

They are in the WC4 novel...with the FRLN using older Confed ships in novels like FA, or FC.

That wasnt my question. The question was:
Were banshees and the other sihps in WCIV upgraded confed craft?
