Do you mean the files themselves are cropped? or That the game is cutting off parts of them?As per the title, I have copied the hi-res videos over to my 'vob' folder, but they are cropped poorly. It seems as though at least 50 pixels upper and lower are missing.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Ta.
I have a 16:9 monitor and during the intro, the bottom and top of the FMV's appear to be cut off (for example, people's names in the credits only show half the text when said text is positioned towards the lower part of the screen).
Yeah this sounds like improper cropping. Possibly go to the EXE file for the game, right click and choose properties from the pop up menu. Then, navigate to the compatibility tab and chose the "change high DPI settings" button. From the second window click the "overide high dpi scaling behavior option and then make sure it's set to "application". That may or may not fix it but you can experiment with those settings and see if they give you better resultsI have a 16:9 monitor and during the intro, the bottom and top of the FMV's appear to be cut off (for example, people's names in the credits only show half the text when said text is positioned towards the lower part of the screen).

Are you sure you have a 16:9 monitor? I have a replacement dll for WCIV somewhere because the GoG version doesn't support ultrawide - with aspect rations > 16:9 I get the same issue you describe.
I'm pretty sure that I have a 16:9 monitor. None the less, would you be able to provide this replacement dll, so that I may test it? Thank you.
Here is my modified version of the dvd dll - I can't imagine it fixing anything other than super wide but give it a go.
My goodness, it works! Thank you so much! Perhaps my monitor is 16:10? That's news to me because I've always set ALL of my games for a 16:9 setting. I think that I may have to go back and alter many-a-setting for my games XD
The credits are no longer cropped off, the 'O' in Origin is circular and Mark Hamill doesn't look like part-man, part-beanpole anymore!
Thank you, my friend!
