WC IV DVD problem

I read and patched, updated, made it win 98 compatible with current XP to run WC IV DVD. I am still getting a VOB error. I uninstalled 3.0 of PowerDVD and isntalled 5.0 but I'm still having the problem. I also downloaded the fix from the French website but no go.

Is there a specific fix for this problem? I am able to fly the ships but I am unable to get any dvd movies due to vob error.

Any help is appreciated.

There is no confirmed way to play the movies without the DXR hardware. Period.
From time to time someone claims to have done it, but none of the solutions had been worling for a wider public.
