WC Game Plot Questions

A bit like Tie Fighters, right? :)
Yeah, that would have been nice...

God, TIE Fighter...How much of my life was gratified by that game? That was like a warm-up for Wing Commander, but still...And then there was X-Wing Alliance...And nothing more needs to be said about that Golden God of a game.

Hmmm, I remember thinking that we're going see a game where we flew as Kilrathi when I first heard the runours that Origin was going to release something called the "Kilrathi Saga." Alas, it wasn't to be. :(

It did? Damn, that means I'm actually gonna have to try to get through it again. I never got past level... level five, I think it was.

"Alas"? We got something better!! Something to play WC1, 2 and 3 under Win95 with!

Be sure and install the Armada patch first -- so after each mission you'll recieve a password.

There's lots of elements to the Armada story, though... in the Kilrathi ones, one mission is against forces loyal to an Admiral trying to overthrow Thrakhath... the humans get to fight pirates, and there's a cool bomber escort mission... and... lots of stuff like that.

You exaggerate a bit LOAF. :) It was just the little text briefing wasn't it? And don't go telling me that that is no different to the WC1 and WC2 briefings. 'Cause it isn't! :)

They sure didnt kill him very nicely. For them an honorable death for prisoners would be to let them commit suicide. But instead they cut him up into chunks, a act in which they took great pride in im sure.

I think the Kilrathi version of honourable death for human prisoners is to kill them (relatively) quickly by gutting them with their claws. (As happened to Angel in WC3.) They might well allow Kilrathi prisoners Zu'Kara, though.

Well, unless it's addressed in a book I haven't read, all we have to go on about Iceman's death is what Hawk says, right?

Who knows, maybe they gave Iceman "a warrior's death," as per Angel, and Hawk interpreted it as the Kilrathi "having their fun."

Yeah but we know from the WC3 novel that after guttin Angel, they ate her. They sent back Iceman. Theres nothing to suggest they found him to have been worthy of an honorable death. Nor would we think it was a quick one from the way he was killed. Theres no reason to believe otherwise that it was a horrible death. Enough to not reveal to the family what really happened.

I see it more as a taunt than an insult. The Kilrathi put him back in the pod after they pulled him apart like a GI Joe, as if to say "This is what we'll do to the lot of you"...
