you could name it, by whoever was the head-honcho of the confederation in WC1, Tolwyn has not always been the admiral,

go ahead and correct me loaf

as I recall from reading action stations Tolwyn was a Ensign and he gets promoted to a 1st Lieutenant. I would name your ship after Vance Richards or the Confederation President at the time.

I forget the name of the confed President but if you read Fleet Action you'll find it.

Well I renamed my carrier to the TCS Atlanta. :) Some website I found said that Atlanta was a great Greek huntress.

How about the TCS New Delhi? :D Jakarta? Singapore!

What is worng with a name not related to the USA?

There's plenty of ships that aren't named after Americans/American events... there are lots of 'concept' ships in the style of the British navy, plenty of ships named after various mythologies... and then ships named after people and events from other countries (TCS Dornier, TCS Masada, etc.).

Jakarta is a star system (a Kilrathi star system:)).

The President in Fleet Action was Harold Rodham -- you probably won't find a carrier named after him, since he resigned in disgrace (just like you don't expect to find a USS Richard M. Nixon...). Plus, this is a Bengal-class ship, which would have been built earlier on in the war.

Tolwyn wasn't ever really head of the Confed fleet -- he commanded individual ships and fleets throughout the war, and lead much of the war effort... but he wasn't even ever on the JCS. As for commanders of the entire fleet, Admiral Banbridge would have been a good choice -- although he was still alive whenever this ship was built. (The only other head of the combined forces that we know the name of was Space Marshall Gregarov -- who, again, had some negative history assosciated with her...).

(Other existing ships -- the mysterious Confed dreadnoughts mentioned in FA were named 'Omega', the TCS Eagle was the escort carrier which initially tried to deliver the T-Bomb, the TCS Falcon was the name-ship for a class of corvettes).

TCS Retaliation (sounds nice if the original got shredded in battle and the Hulk refitted)
TCS Phoenix (same reason ^^)
TCS Wellington
TCS Freiburg
TCS Vigilance
TCS Thor
TCS Zeus
TCS Fendrich ;)

Here's a few more.

TCS Strife
TCS Satyr
TCS Musketeer
TCS Rifleman
TCS Marauder
TCS Locust
TCS Glory
TCS Chimara
TCS Blackjack
TCS Archer
TCS Anubis
TCs Bowman
TCS Valkyrie
TCS Templar
TCS Legacy

As far as I know their is no Ship called TCS Retaliation but if it is supposed to be a rebuild I would call it something like that, or something relating it to the original Ship.

For the Storybackground...its a rebuild and upgraded Bengal...this one is sometimes also called Bengal Mk2...in the service records it is still a Bengal Strike Carrier

I love British naval names, better than any Australian or American names.

Personally, HMS Indefatigable....I mean, TCS Indefatigable takes my fancy...

Well,in Greek navy we use often names From the Greek Mythology....they are pretty cool....and looks like Roberts like `em too ;)
