Super Wing Commander in OSX

Well (gulp)...I just bought a Mac. I know, I know, I'm sorry. I swear, it's for work. :D Anyway, I know there are a few Mac users out there, and I was wondering if any of you have had any expereince running Super Wing Commander in OSX (specifically in Classic Mode). Will it work? Is it worth purchasing? FYI, my system is the current entry-level IbookG4 - 1GHz/768MB RAM/40GB/Radeon9200. Any input would be appreciated.

On my 1.25Ghz G4 (running OS 10.3), the game simply runs too fast. Dialogue and all is fine, as are the cutscenes, but when it comes time to fly, it's like the game is just in fast forward.

This is all under the "classic" mode. Sorry to break the bad news, sir, but unless you boot straight from an OS 9 volume, I think you're out of luck :-\

Ugh, that totally sucks, since you can't boot current models in OS9. Thanks for the info, perhaps I'll look into picking up an older PowerMac to satisfy my curiosity.
