I never got a chance to play Subspace when it was popular , and i was wondering if it was still around? Was there ever a WC mod for it?

There aren't as many people playing these days. The zone is still open, however, and people still drop by. I'm usually idle in there while I'm in WingNut. Stop by and we can battle. :)

You can find all the graphics files at the site Kris provided. They'll replace the default SubSpace ships with the Hellcat V, Thunderbolt VII, Excalibur, Dralthi IV, Vaktoth, Strakha, Bhantkara-class carrier, and Ranger-class light carrier from Wing Commander III.

If you want to add some Wing Commander sounds to the game, you can get my sound set here. Just right-click on that link, save it to your hard drive, and then unzip it into your SubSpace directory. If you're using Continuum, unzip it into the sound directory. If there are any problems with it, please let me know. Enjoy!

Think Subspace isn't popular anymore? dl the game and see for yourself : ) There's a newer, re-developed version called Continuum which has more handy features but also some untimely bugs every now and then, so the choice is up to you.

To get to Wing Commander Zone, click on Find Servers in Subspace or the Zone button in Continuum and look for ExSF Wing Commander, add it, and you're set : )

And Wild .... The soundset file is still not there ... check your spelling or whatever that's messing it up : P

Damn it.

Are you sure that you're right-clicking on the file and saving it to your hard drive, pen? Has anyone else had any problems downloading the file I linked to?

Thanks for the links guys , ive downloaded the latest version of Continuum and the WC zips ( I had no trouble downloading your soundset WildWeasel ).

Now the problem is I cant get the friggin game to work.
First it said I had to change my name and password , after I did that it still wont let me log on to a server because the connection ALWAYS gets lost. What am I missing?

For those of you interested in getting into the Wing Commander Zone, I have some news that'll help you out. Last night, it was moved from ExSF to ExST. What does this mean? Well, it means that you'll have to remove ExSF Wing Commander from your zone list and add ExST Wing Commander. Those of you who're familiar with SubSpace and Continuum know that this is a simple process. All you have to do is click on "Find Servers" (in SubSpace) or "Zones" (in Continuum) and search down the list for ExST Wing Commander. Then you click on it and add it. If anyone is having any trouble with this, let me know. :)

Ok heres my problem. Continuum wont let me enter any server because the connection always gets lost. Ive managed to get into a few rooms with 1 or 2 people and speak to someone from tech_help and they said its because continuum is still in the beta stages and it causes unecessary lag. He also told me to download Subspace 1.35 ,which I did. Now that works fine ( I can enter any room ) but theres one problem. When I click on "find servers" subspace crashes.
This is the Directory server address : sscentral.vie.com

I know this is a problem for the Subspace forums but it sounds like you know what youre going on about. Can you help me?

P.S. Ive got a 56k modem and I usally get 400-700 ping times , which that tech guy told me is acceptable.

Is there another way to get the list? I had no trouble downloading the list in Continuum ( too bad I cant play any of them)
