Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars- Is it OK??

I know this is a non-wc game, but I'm thinking of buying it and I wanted to get other non-trekkies opinion first. The last two star trek games I bought just suck. If I ask this question at a Star Trek site the trekkies there will most likely say its a great game. But you know how they are; anything Star Trek related must be great.

I just feel that the gamers here are more serious about their games. I also don't want to waste $45.00 on another ST game.
 
Argh. No offense, but you didn't have to make a thread about this John. I'm just getting sick of seeing non-WC postings pop up every other day.

...Though STDS9:DW looks pretty... :)
 
It looks like it will be SFC with modern ships, as far as gameplay, which is a not-bad thing. But if you really want to get a good ST game, buy Homeworld, and then talk to me, cuz there is a mod for it, that I am a team member of that is purely incredable. Hmm..the last two Trek games you bought sucked? What were those? I thought most of them released recently were pretty good with the exception of Away Team and New Worlds.

Anyway, i've yet to get Dominion Wars, but from what I hear it's pretty good.

New Worlds and Hidden Evil. New Worlds has great graphics but the game play gets boring really fast.
 
Hmm. I'm hoping somebody'll make a WC mod for it. :D

Seriously, John, you'd probably get a bigger response if you posted this at http://www.spacebattles.com It's rather more insane, but also covers a wider range. I'm there fairly often. Like...right now. :)

ATFW would indeed be the better place to go. Space Battles would just have everyone yelling at each other about how Dominion Wars could blow up the Death Star...
