SOLVED: Wing Commander Prophecy GOG is asking for Disc2

Hello everyone,
I'm currently running WCP Gold from GOG on my Win11 PC. The only patch I installed is the OpenGL patch by PopsiclePete/Pedro. (all the other patches like Enhancement Pack and HD vids didn't work properly so I did a fresh reinstall with only the OpenGL patch)
Everything went smoothly with nice graphics and without issues until I reached the end of the DISC1 missions. Now the game is asking me to insert DISC2. But it is the GOG version. Shouldn't it work without any discs? Is it because of the OpenGL patch? Does it change something so the game needs a Disc again?

I tried mounting an iso file of the original disc2 but the game doesn't seem to accept it. I searched the forum and reddit for anything similar but couldn't find a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
 
SOLVED

In case, someone encounters the same problem: I solved it by downloading the offline setup files of the game on GOG Galaxy. I then installed the offline files over the already installed and OpenGL-patched version of the game. I was then still able to choose OpenGL in the launcher and it works so far on windows11 without asking for discs. Only small issue is some tiny grey lines around the targeting reticle, but I can live with that.
