Saga Ships Out New Wallpapers (January 20, 2011)

Here's a batch of New Years wallpapers from WC Saga. They show five gritty WC3 Confed fighters flying through a black void. Higher res versions are available in a download pack here.

Happy New Year everyone! The Wing Commander Saga staff would like to thank all of you for your support throughout the year. We know that we can never express our appreciation enough and we will continue to dedicate ourselves to bringing you an exciting and interactive space opera, and we hope that you will provide us with continuous supports in the coming year!

As a small new years gift we are releasing five wallpapers, courtesy of limdaepl, showcasing the new generation of Confederation fighters. Take a closer look at these pictures and see some of the fantastic detail for yourself.

Any notes on the progress of the mod? It seems like we haven't heard any update about the mod itself in quite a long time...a progress report would be nice.

the actual release date "coming this winter" is slightly delayed. saga should be released a couple of months later.

The english site used to say the same thing but it seems that any mention of it has been removed, as I recall posting to that news post, both on the front page and in the forum.

I also recall a thread where Tolwyn specifically stated that "Coming this Winter" wasn't for the Saga release date...

These look great! Are they the final versions? They seem to be the same as the Victory's fighters in Wing Commander III (I don't know if any of them are squadron-specific or what--we see a lot of different paint schemes for Hellcats in the CCG art, though).
