Running Privateer w/ VirtualPC, Lock-Up, Please Help

Okay, after getting the whole memory issues dealing with Privateer solved, I tried to launch the game. Privateer doesn't give me any error message of any sort, the screen just goes black and appears to freeze DOS.

Also, the VirtualPC seems to run Wing Commander 3, but the opening video is all scrunched down. The game also locks up a few seconds after you start the game and are in the hanger, while still playing bits of music.

I also tried Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle Demo, and Sam and Max Demo. They all hung up somewhere, while still playing music.

This leads me to believe its some sort of universal problem with the sound.

From what I saw, the games ran as smooth as they would have on an older comp, so if I can get this worked out VirtualPC should work really well for all my old gaming needs.

As nice as it is reliving my experiences of tweaking with my PC in order to get Privateer/Origin games to run, this has definately stumped me.

Someone please help me. :(
