Reinstalled Windows, error: Could not determine what GL DLL to load

I reinstalled Windows XP, long story. Anyways, I start wing commander standoff (previously installed in other windows) and I keep getting an error as titled on this thread. I'd rather not have to reinstall standoff, so what can I do to fix this problem?

Yes - check that - and also please ensure that you have the following:

1. The most up-to-date drivers for your display card, and;
2. DirectX9 with the latest updates (run a DirectX Web installer from the Microsoft site just to make sure)

Both Secret Ops and Standoff will need registry keys that are created when you install Secret Ops; the error message you get means it can't find those.

You have to either reinstall Secret Ops (then overwrite with your backup copy) or manualy recreate the registry keys, if you know what you're doing.

The registry keys did the trick. I just imported my old hive, exported some keys, edited them and re-imported them into my new registry and it works! Oh, I also had to register a .dll with regsvr32 but that's all I needed to do.

Thanks guys.
