You know, it occurred to me as I sat down here at my computer on a rainy June evening (yes I know, crap weather in wales even in june). I used to devote so much of my life, expending so much emotional energy on characters, and working so hard to acheive something with little meaning beyond that of my own satisfaction, in a world that does not exist born in the mind of one man.
Now is it just me or does anyone else think that it is fantastic that one man's vision has created a whole world for a generation of people to get lost in, to wish that somehow it would swallow them up from their own lives and transport them to a new and fantastical world, squillions of miles into deep space??
I think we need to salute this man, he certainly had me hooked, still does really nearly 14 years later.
