For future reference, post these type questions in the tech forum and also use the search function, tons of problems have already been solved and your answer might be there.
If you are using WinXP, go into the Run menu and type in dxdiag, go to the sound tab and disable sound acceleration. Also turn the EXE to win95/98 compatiblity. Your movies will still pause every now and then (at least mine did, but its not as distracting.
