Hello all,
I have been wanting to play Privateer again after a couple years away.
I am using an Epox EP-8K7A motherboard and trying to use the on-board sound (VIA VT82C686B) with no luck.
I was previously able to run the game with an old SB Live on this motherboard, but the SB card has since gone kaput.
I use an extensive reboot shortcut in W98SE and am well versed in all the specifics. I have all Legacy, AC97, and SB stuff turned on in the BIOS.
I think my problem lies in the drivers to initialize the sound subsystem. Does anyone know where I can find the DOS drivers for this hardware and maybe some instructions on how to use them.
