Privateer Lockups

[Oldun]

I have problems with privateer doing random lockups - either CD or Floppy version - dosen't matter, both lock up. I have had this problem with 3 different machines. I can reset the machine and the program works fine again until the next lockup.

I have tried numerous Config.sys and autoexec.bats, but still have the problem.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, please tell what you did to do a fix.

What system are you running, do not use any Dos drivers that you do not have too. I wouldnt even use a mouse driver.

Wouldn't even use a mouse driver? Why, that would mean that he'd have to fly with... a joystick!

Change the EMM386 line in your config.sys to look like this:

DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM 16384 /I=B000-B7FF
