Privateer Drifting Away? (June 3, 2011)

If you dowloaded your copy of Privateer from GOG in the first hour or so it was available and you're having trouble with a driftig mouse cursor then you should download the game. GOG's expert technical staff identified the issue and patched the game to version 1.0.0.5 almost immediatey--but it's possible a few hardcore fans managed to get the game earlier.

So is this something new or did that patch already exist for the original Privateer? Or is it a Dosbox patch?

OH and by the way - what version of Privateer did they use? Disk version or CD version?

It's a stand alone DOSBox setup.

It's the CD version with RF removed.

I am aware that it is a dosbox setup, but where does the patch fall in? Known old patch I forgot about? New generic Privateer patch? Dosbox hack?

CD version is cool tho I still miss that one to my shame...

The patch has to do with the DOSBox config I think. Just to prevent cursor pull.
