Privateer 2 crashes when leaving planet..most notably herms and crius

Hello!

It usually crashes whenever I try to leave the planet but I can normally get around it bu playing with the compatibility settings..

I'm now after angus santana trying o leave crius...but this time I can't seem to get off at all! every single combination of compatibility settings still can't get me off planet! (playing with win95, 98, run only in 640x480, visual themes...etcetc)

I've also copied all 3 cds and played with dark.cfg...still the same prob

I'm running the game on winxp using the xp patch by our dutch friend. Fantastic!

Anybody with similar probs?
 
Which patch did you use - OriginalTHP's?

Is it really the Windows version of Priv2 (sounds silly, but you never know)?

What happens when the game crashes? Back to desktop? Any error message?

What is your system setup - Hardware, XP SP1/2, DirectX version, etc..?
 
It's the deluxe version

XP home service pack 2
p4 2.8gig prescott, 1did ddr 400 ram, SATA 1x80gb Hitachi HDD + 1x 160gig Western Digital drive, geforce 6800, TDK dvd burner/combo.

Shouldnt be a prob eh?
