privateer 2 are there better video files available?

Hi guys,

I was thinking about playing privateer 2 from GOG, and wanted to know if there are better video files out there?

If not can I upscale the TGV files myself maybe? Is there a way to convert them etc?

There are but it's a bit of a mess!

Basically, there's a lot of better footage that has been recovered from tapes or the director's 25th anniversary linear cut... but sometimes they're missing SFX or they're different cuts than the final game.

Ah I see , that's a real shame. Is there a way to convert the TGV files to use in something like topaz video AI?

Sadly even if you did upscale them, you'd have to get Privateer 2 to play the new files, and I suspect even with the Windows version that'd be far from a trivial task.

I saw this post a few days ago and I'm currently trying to scale the promo trailer with TVAI and it looks good with Starlight Mini... but rendering a 2-minute clip takes 9 hours.
I haven't tried other clips yet, but I don't think the quality will be as good.
Maybe I will upload the promo-trailer on my youtube-channel .. not sure
