Privateer 2 and Vista

Hello,
I used to use the 'DOS to Win' Patch for Privateer 2 the Darkening on my XP computer (xp, then XP sp2) without major problems.
I prefer the windows version than using DosBox because with the windows version my USB joystick (Sidewinder Precision 2) is well recognised.

I tried to use the windows version on Vista, but I can't install the game, the installer say that there is not enough free space on my hard disks (i tried evry compatibility mode and 'run as administrator' but without) success.

Is there a way to use the windows patched version of the game on Vista??? (the Dos version works with Dosbox)

Try creating the install directory (c:\dark I think, or whatever you intend to use) on the harddrive first before running the installer
