Pilgrim Stars Contemplation (August 23, 1999)

Felicia Harmon had the following to say about the recent Pilgrim Stars "release date."

I've noticed that Amazon.com still reports that Pilgrim Stars will not be available until September, but Barnes and Noble reports it's available now... only you have to wait 1-2 weeks for it to ship, as opposed to the "24 hours" usually required of most books. Why do I get the feeling that B&N won't be getting the book any sooner than anybody else, and is just advertising the book as available to capture the early-release sales?

While this is a real possibility, we'd like to point out that B&N has been pretty reliable in the past and has generally been pretty good about getting WC novels earlier than other online bookstores. Nevertheless.. we still have yet to hear about anyone finding a copy of Pilgrim Stars.
