Question about the board,
how do i put a picture in a post, i can't link to my hard drive as you will just get a red x, so what do i need to do?

You need to upload your images to a server on the Internet.

If you have a ISP check with them. Normally you get like 10 megs of web hosting with your service. You can also try Tripod. http://www.tripod.lycos.com/

I've got an account with Geocities, but no one can access the pics from a link, does Tripod allow this, or am I going to have to part with some cash for this privilage? (Hard up student and all that.)
I am using the University internet, so I don't have an ISP.

It's an annoyance, but a tolerable one. All one has to do is "Save Target As..." on the link, or try putting it into the address bar.

Check with Geocities. You'll need to create a webpage with a www address. Check with them to found out what your options are.

or you could cheat... the standard web-board strategy is to rename your pictures as [picturename].txt and then
