Nonresponsive helm

I've installed the Kilrathi Saga on my computer and for the most part everything works fine. Except for on Wing Commander 2. For some reason whenever I fly I can't even steer the ship. I'll hold an arrow in any direction and it takes awhile for the ship to respond. I especially can't go diagnol in any direction. I can't even get past the first mission due to this steering problem. It's only in wc2 and I have no idea what the problem is. Can anyone help?

WC2 Kilrathi Saga has pretty bad keyboard response. It's got a real problem with pressing down more than one key at once. As in, it doesn't work. You should either get proficient with the mouse or buy a joystick.

That just seems crazy to me. How could WC1 and 3 work fine with keys and yet 2 does not? Oh well. Thanks anyway, I'm sure I'll figure something out.
