No medals on KS Secret Missions

Hi everyone!

I am currently playing SM1 from Kilrathi Saga.

I've transferred my character from WC1 and, in some missions, I have managed both to fulfill all missions' requests and kill every enemy ship by myself. According to Wedge009's scripts I should be able to earn some new medals, but I do not, no matter what or how I do.

BTW, I've ejected and got the 'Sun', so I'm not sure what it may be.

Does anyone know why this happens? I can't get even a new bronze medal!!
 
Individual missions present an opportunity to get a certain medal. These medals are predetermined, and you do not get better medals (bronze/silver/gold) based on higher performance. I think this might be a general bug in KS.
 
Sure, Now I know you can't earn ANY medal on any mission (I've read that on any old WC documentation). But days have passed and now I'm playing SM2 (I was on SM1 when started that thread) and now I can earn some pieces of metal!!

Medals were few and far between in The Secret Missions, which is kind of a surprise after playing series' in the original Wing Commander where you might recieve a new medal for each mission.

My notes say that there are only three chances to get a medal and that one of them is unlikely due to a bug. Goddard 2 and Vigrid 2 should give you a Silver and Gold star respectively should you earn enough 'medal points'. The other chance is Jotunheim 3, which is the "Gwenhyvar" mission... unfortunately, killing the 'Gwen and her escorts counts *against* you in terms of medal points, as the game still thinks they're ships you should be escorting. If you fly the mission and only kill Kilrathi fighters you can earn a Bronze Star... but you'll fail in Halcyon's opinion as you let the Exeter get away.
