New Space Sim Community Online (January 21, 2009)

Right now, space simulation games are mostly the domain of smaller development houses. We reported on about a dozen titles for PC or consoles in the past two years. These games don't get as much attention as the latest first person shooter at mainstream gaming sites, and space sim portals like A Talent For War or Stargamer.net are no longer maintained. Now SpaceSimCentral.com is going to try to take over from them. They say:

SpaceSimCentral is a new website to the space/flight sim community. The main focus of SSC is to provide a source of information on all space and flight sim mods, community projects, currently released games and games under development. There is a discussion forum for everyone to discuss everything releated to space and flight sim games and a file database where games, patches, mods and tools will be available for download. SpaceSimCentral.com is free to use and enjoy and please have fun and post all your opinions on all space sims old, new and unreleased.

Thanks for the write up KrisV.

SpaceSimCentral is still being worked on but it is pretty close to layout complete. This one man operation can only do so much, but I'm trying to gather up as much info and post it up as possible on all space sim games. Mainly starting with the most popular and upcoming titles first them I will cover games long forgotten.

I'm also trying to create an area where space sim fanatics can go and generally find some downloadable content on there game whether it be patches, mods or helpers. So download area is open... and people can upload as well. So filler up I have the uploads need approval but once I check it out I will activate the download for all to use.

Have fun everyone and thanks for checking the site out and look forward to this year when we have a few titles coming out like Jumpgate Evolution, Heresy War, Black Prophecy, and a few others.
