Exactly. I'm GMT +10.

Starting to sound like a southern hemisphere thing (nothern summer = southern summer and vice versa). But if Windows can get daylight saving right...

The server's physical location is in Eastern US, so the server's time is EDT.

DST is done in a lot of countries, if not the entire northern hemisphere. Windows knows that you don't have DST, the board does not. Windows also has a million times as many lines of code.

So you'll just have to change your settings every 6 months or emigrate to this hemisphere. I hope you go with the first option.

Or you could just not care like I do! I didn't set my clock settings on the board until just now!

Heh, heh. That's true. But if IIRC, I'm sure the DST information is in a tiny text-editable INI file...

That would be a hassle, since I was born in London. :)

I always wondered what time zone this thing refers to. Anyone know specifically?

Kris already said... the board's based in US EST (Varying with DST). The board then takes this and calculates GMT and works from there depending on people's settings.

I agree, but I think that´s out of the CIC control, seems like the CZ server uses EDT time as default.

Forgetting the fact that we are unable to do that, doing so would screw up the board time for the 1,400 users who do live in a country that has DST. And no, I'm not going to change the board code and the half a dozen various scripts we have running that in some way or other work with the time of day so the three of you don't have to perform 4 mouse-clicks every 6 months.

I didn't suggest that you should, I just wanted to know if there was a quick and easy fix to the problem.
