New fighter concepts

That light fighter will have a lot of *weight* it will be slow with 2 torps (if you have too much mass you will need more energy)

Light fighters are incapable of strapping on torps...heck, the torps in WCIII were nearly as long as the Arrow.

They talk about light and medium fighters having capship killing capability in the WCIV Novel...the Flashpak would allow them to have it.

Here's my idea.
Forget about this 'light strike fighter' concept.
Take Vampires, load them up with their Wild Weasel kit, use them to suppress the turrets and keep the enemy fighter support busy, and then launch a capital missile strike. It does the exact same thing, and you don't need to modify the fighter concept at all.

That isn´t a new-revolutionary idea genius You play that mission in at least one mission in WCP, and very similars in WC3 and 4

Nah.
The only time any missiles are fired from friendly cap ships in Prophecy is the 'training missile diversion' that Blair comes up with.
The thing is, though, everyone's basically arguing about strapping torps to fighters that may or may not be designed to carry them, and my idea does pretty much the same thing without changing the mission specs of the fighters.

IIRC in WC3 there is one (or two) mission where you must escort the TCS Sheffield against a a Carrier or Destroyer
In WCP there is the mission Defang the beast where you must use your Anti-Radiation missiles to destroy the enemy capship turrets, and later torp the capship.

I'm not arguing about WC3. My comments about it not occurring are strictly tied into WCP. Torpedoes from small craft are basically what everyone is already arguing for (albeit from slightly more agile craft than what we usually see them fired from). The basic idea in putting them on fighter craft typically seems to be in order to have a 'quick response' strike force that can hit before the bombers are ready or before they can reach the oncoming capital ship.
My point is that the torpedo bombers aren't necessarily even needed. True, you risk putting your own capital ship at risk (anything you can do to them they can probably attempt against you), but I feel its a much better 'rapid strike element' response than most of what I've seen here.
