No, there's a difference in that the Kilrathi are inherently aggressive.

They were peaceful, until the Kilrathi ravaged their delicate planet. Now, they are everywhere. Even on Kilrah Sector. Check the WCP manual.
They're not everywhere. They only claim ownership to two star systems.

How in the world do you know that? Are you a specialist on tribal Mopok sociology? They did fight space cat marines with spears, and won. Tribal cultures are naturally aggressive in general, given the important place warriors usually are on their social pyramids.

And you are wrong about the Kilrathi. They are not inherently aggressive, their feudal culture is. There are some Kilrathi that are not inherently aggressive, as the cats that live in Pasqual. They are trying to co-exist. So not all Kilrathi have aggressiveness as a essential constituent or intrinsic characteristic. Don’t mix up race and culture.

They're not everywhere. They only claim ownership to two star systems.

Why, do you know the list of planets they claim ownership as of WCP-Time? The bugs did kill some Firekaa, but the bugs didn't go to their two systems. So they are in other places, even if they don't claim ownership to them.

Yes, we know for certain that some Firekkans are employed in Confed (and probably have citizenship). We can also assume that Firekkan civilians were present, not just in the Kilrah system but in many other places. So what exactly is your point? Polish citizens like me also live all over the world, but I *still* can't persuade them that we can handle this world domination thing.

In the context of the Firekaa/FRLN/Neo Pilgrim/Milrathi/Double Helix/Mopoks league, it’s just a relevant fact. Please don’t take this too serious and start comparing actual countries with giant space parakeets.

If I was taking this seriously, I certainly wouldn't bring up my plans to use the Polish diaspora to attain world domination.

...Or would I?

Polish diaspora? What are you talking about?

Huh? And I quote:

According to dictionary.com, a Diaspora is "a dispersion of a people from their original homeland”. Last time I checked Poland was still there. Sure, like most other countries, there’s some of its nationals are living in other countries. The Pope is Polish, after all.

I don't think there is a Firekaa Diaspora, neither. They are just walking around, waiting for the right time to unleash their secret Mantu technology against the UBW. And how can they keep it a secret? Well, ask the Double Helix.

Last I checked, "a dispersion of a people from their original homeland" does not in any way imply the non-existence of the afore-mentioned homeland. In fact, these days, because most nations do have national homelands, the term is more often than not applied to nations with their own states. Thus, you can have a Polish diaspora, or the Jewish diaspora, or the Iranian diaspora, or anything you like - as your definition implies, the term merely means people living outside their homeland.

sorry to go off topic, but would the energy based race be called the Drej?

<we now return you to your topic, good day>

I think it has a far stronger connotation than merely having some people living outside their country. If you think about the original diaspora, for example.

They are a totally new alien race, not a recycled one. Actually, no one voted for them.

personally, i'ld liek to forget wcp ever exsited ! get back to fighting humans !! i loved WC4 cos of that... i find this whole alien race thingy a bit tiresome... the kats were alright, cos at least wc1-3 was a great build up to it, and really incited hatred for the bastards....

i say human and or kilrathi enemy / allies as well?

cheers

The cats or BW civil war. Maybe a combo ;) That would ne nice. I mean. if u are making a UE2 it will continue where the other one left off right?

So that means in the "Bug era". I think it is a bit a shame since I really dont like the bugs :(

Id rather see a post WC1/pre WC2 timeframe, maybe with a "random" encounter with Blair at Caernarvon Station. And with Maniac at the corcordia.

Hehe ... ramblings ;)
