The first round of new features has been added, based on last week's input:
Private Messaging
Buddy List
Calendar
Private Messaging is self-explanatory. The buddy list is basically an extension of Private Messaging, allowing you to more easily contact your friends. If you enter your birth date in your user profile, your birthday will be made a calendar event. You can add any events to the calendar that you think people would like to know about.
You need at least 150 posts (1st Lieutenant) before you can use these features. Once you hit 150 posts, the features will become available after midnight Mountain Time (GMT -7). We wanted to limit them to regular visitors, and doing so requires a little workaround which we only execute once day for performance reasons. Please only contact chatzone@wcnews.com when you're sure you should have had access already.
