I was thinking about loaning my Kilrathi Saga manual to TC for that very purpose, but I was afraid I'd never get it back.

Actually, Wing Commander in Russia did Victory Streak. They used a rather similar style, though. http://wingcommander.by.ru/VS/
 
im pretty sure that the dos wc2 doesnt need pure dos, and im damn sure it doesnt use jemm, since ive had it running in win98 straight

Dunno where you got this from, since WC2 DOS can run easily in Windows 9x. AFAIK, only Privateer and Armada use JEMM.
 
thats the wierd thing, im not 100% sure priv uses jemm, cos i THINK i had it runnin in win98 before, but i cant do it again to prove it :(

oh well
 
Privateer used JEMM, and it was hell on earth getting it to runin a Win9x environment. All I remember is having a big collection of boot disks.
