Model C??'s

Ok I was able to get my dxf model to obj model and ultimately into the game (it was drawn to scale). But It seems when I tried using model C to scale the model so that it's aroudn the size of the Panther. It still is way too big (Fills ups screen) and also points down instead of straight to fly. Is there anything that I'd be doing or should be doing to remedy this. If anything I'll send the PEO model to someone along with the MATs and if someone has more experience in rotating it and scaling it in Model C that would be greatly appreciated.

ModelC can scale models, but it cannot rotate them. You should rotate your models before getting them into ModelC. The way the vision engine works, +Y is upwards, and +Z is forward.

To scale a model just type the scaling factor in the proper box and press scale. The model's dimentions in WCP units are displayed at the top right, below the three little VERT boxes.

Yay funny story I did the scaling..... then throw it into the Vision engine (SIM) and it just doesn't scale. I push scale make sure that RADI=1 the x/y/z are smaller numbers like 11.5/8.1/6.4 or somethin like that instead of the original 465/342/292 or whatnot but you get the point. and It just doesn't scale down. I also push the save too so it aves to .wcp. Of coarse after I did the scaling I would get the rotating thing down too because it's a lil hard to rotate it when the model is a monster in the vision engine ~~~.

What you need to do after making any changes is go into the IFF tab and compile the IFF file, not save the .WCP files again. Also, as I said, once the model is in modelC, there is absolutely no way to rotate it at all. You need to make sure your model has the proper orientation (+Y=up, +Z=forward) before getting it into modelC. There's no point doing any work to a mis-oriented model, since the only way to get it rotated is to re-import it into modelC (losing all changes that you had made in it).

Yea I was recompiling after each change and still nada.....ahh I see ok so rotating it first before in model C. I'll try playin with it more when I get home after work here. Once I get it nailed down I'll show you guys what I got so far
