I've installed MS Virtual PC 2004 Sp1 to play WingCommander Games....

Prophecy and Secret Ops work fine, but Unknown Enemy and Standoff won't.... I give you the exact error massege later, i'am not at home.... Virtual PC has no 3DSupport, so i have to play with software mod.

Standoff says somesting, that a file, named msvbvm60.dll cant be found . System in Virtual PC is Windows98....

error message for UE is "lff::lff open file 'mission\enemy.srs' not found and not optional"
 
You cannot play Standoff without 3D support. As for UE I don't know. But why are you using Virtuial PC in the first case?!
 
I tried to put all WC games into one system (VPC)

standoff wont work, because VPC don't support any 3D hardware.... :(

UE i try to reinstall....
 
UE must be installed in the exact same folder as SO, and SO must not have been moved or copied from the folder where it was originally installed (with the installer).

PAN, you can play most WC games under Windows XP, I recommend you install it and use VirtualPC only for those you can't run under XP. There are also other (some even free) alternatives to run WC games under XP, like DosBox, for example.

WCP/SO, Unknown Enemy and Standoff all work great under XP.
